New City! Same tough workouts!

We just moved to Laguna Beach a month ago and we are getting settled nicely. The weather is warm and so are the people! I’m getting in some great workouts here…and now I’m ready to add a START Fitness Bootcamp to Laguna Beach beginning in August 2011! I’ll be posting more details when I have them!

It’s almost April which means we are already a quarter of the way through 2010! Can you believe it? Have you set any goals for the year and if so have you started working on them yet? If not, don’t worry you still have time.

Dolores Park Bootcamp – MWF @ 9am!
Beginning April 5th, START Fitness is adding a second location to their bootcamp….in Dolores Park! I’m very excited to be leading this bootcamp in one of the most beautiful areas of San Francisco – the Mission! Classes will take place on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 9-10am. The cost is only $285 for 6 weeks ($15.83/class!). We will be meeting at the corner of 20th and Dolores Street. *This is a great way to get in shape with a group of people at a fraction of the cost of personal training!

Small Group Training  – Mon/Fri @ 6am!
If you like the idea of training with a group of people at an affordable alternative to personal training but can’t meet at 9am….then this is for you. Beginning April 5th you can join me and a small group (no more than 8 people) on Monday and Friday mornings (6am). Now you can train earlier in the morning and be ready for work by 8 or 9am. More affordable than personal training but with the same effect – fun and effective training. These special workouts are available by appointment only – which means you need to contact me if you would like to join us. I will then tell you where we are meeting (Mission/Castro area) and we will workout. The drop in fee is $30 for a one hour session. You also have the option to pay for a 5 session pack for $125* ($25/class). And you if you are truly committed to coming on Mondays and Fridays…you can pay a recurring fee of $150/month and drop-in on as many Mon/Fri classes you want in the month*.

* Session packs must be used within 2 months. Recurring payment option has a minimum of 2 months before you can stop it.

Sandladder Workout!
Time for our infamous Sandladder workout on Saturday, May 22nd at 7am! Sand, Stairs, and Sweat! If you’ve done this workout before you know that it will be the toughest workout you will ever love. For those of you that haven’t done this yet….what are you waiting for? It’s just some sand and stairs. This is 90 minutes of fun. For only $20 you get military style workouts in the sand followed by sand filled backpacks up sandy steps. More details to follow as we get closer to the date. Oh yes…there will be prizes and snacks, too! Stay tuned…

New/Returning Clients* – 25% Personal Training in April!
In celebration of being 25% of the way through 2010, all new/returning clients get 25% off their personal training package (10 sessions or more). It’s my way of welcoming you back and helping you reach your goals in 2010. If it’s been over 2 months since your personal training, then you are considered a returning client.

I am now posting a weekly blog that will include my thoughts on certain workouts, the latest exercise info, and I will also post different workouts you can do either at home or in SF. I will also post many of the SF runs/workouts that we do at bootcamp. Check it out every week on my blog.

Thursday Medusa Run…again?

Thursday Run! We did another Medusa run…this time it was at Alamo Square. Total mileage was around 4.77 miles…This one wasn’t as hilly as last week…but it was longer. It was nice to get outside and run after the rain prevented us from going outside on Tuesday. See you all next week for some killer runs! Here is the route…enjoy!

Thursday START Run!

Congratulations to all the runners that finished the infamous “Medusa” run this morning around Lafayette Park! The total mileage was 2.8 (3.2 for the runners that did a regular lap around the park after Medusa). This is one of my favorite runs…very hilly!

Bootcamp coming soon to Dolores Park!

I’ve been working with START Fitness now for over 6 years! I’m pleased to announce that we will add another one of their great bootcamps to the Dolores Park area beginning in April. It will be at 9am on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Give me a shout if you are interested. I will be posting more details about it soon…so stay tuned!
